Dortmund (right) will be taking his sizable self to the barn of trainer Art Sherman and will likely be stabled in the old stall the legendary California Chrome has called home over the past five years. “Dortmund is such a monster he needs a bigger stall area and the folks at Los Alamitos had allowed us to have a big stall for Chrome,” says Sherman. “Dortmund is a beautiful horse and we are looking forward to getting him back to the race track.” Owned by Kaleem Shah, Dortmund had been under the care of Bob Baffert and has battled injury since finishing behind American Pharoah in the 2015 Kentucky Derby and Preakness.
