Former Smyrna high school baseball stars Beau Brewer (left) and Cody Bolyard recently enjoyed the sport of kings at Churchill Downs. These all-district 7 AAA diamond kings made the trek from Tennessee to the most hallowed of horse racing grounds for the June 14 Stephen Foster Super Saturday. As recent high school graduates, these two Bulldog standouts struck out in search of the excitement Thoroughbred racing offers. Ask either of them and they will quickly tell you they found it!
