Unbeaten and Bob Baffert trained, Mastery is currently one of the top contenders for Kentucky Derby 143. His hall of fame conditioner is currently mapping out this son of Candy Ride’s path to the first Saturday in May. “We are going to take it slow right now,” says Baffert of his three-time winner. “We will likely start him twice before the Derby I am just not sure when or where.”
