The aftermath of American Pharoah’s magical run to the Triple Crown has left trainer Bob Baffert in somewhat of a good news-bad news situation. Long considered one of the major stars of Thoroughbred horse racing, the hall of fame conditioner is used to the limelight. Since Pharoah’s scintillating scamper in the Belmont Stakes, Baffert has been a man in demand. Now with rock star status around the world, the four-time Kentucky Derby winning trainer has been under a bit of a crush of late. As a true ambassador for the sport he so dearly loves, Baffert has endured the media blitz. But with his typical California candor, Baffert wishes for a simpler solution to the onslaught of requests.

“It has been just crazy”, says Baffert. “I just wish Pharoah could talk and it would make my job a whole lot easier.”
