Knicks Go was indeed victorious in his final prep for the Breeders’ Cup. In winning the Lukas Classic at Churchill Downs on October 2, this Brad Cox trained son of Paynter picked up his fourth win in six starts this year. In leading gate to wire, Knicks Go covered the mile and an eighth in 1:47.85 and won by a widening 4 lengths. “I think speed is great at any distance over a mile so we are looking forward to the mile and a quarter at the Breeders’ Cup Classic”, says Brad Cox. “He is a horse that makes me look smarter but really we are just letting him do his thing.”
