Lord Nelson looks primed for a big run in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint on November 5. After picking up his third consecutive grade 1 win in the Santa Anita Sprint Championship on October 8, this four-year old son of Pulpit is giving every indication he will be a major player at the Cup. “He has set himself up for a big run come Breeders’ Cup,” says his hall of fame trainer Bob Baffert. “We knew he was good, but he has been a big surprise. He has really developed this year. We are glad the Breeders’ Cup is at Santa Anita but that really does not matter with this guy. He is good enough to win anywhere.” © BENOIT PHOTO
