West coast based Roy H has been working towards his 2018 debut for trainer Peter Miller. Arguably the top sprinter in the country, this six-year old son of More Than Ready turned in an outstanding 2017 campaign that culminated with a powerful win in the Breeders’ Cup Sprint at Del Mar. With four wins in five starts last year, Miller is eager to add to the left hand column as his prized gelding preps at Santa Anita. According to his conditioner, the 6 furlong grade 2 Palos Verdes at Santa Anita on February 3 will be the likely launch for his boy Roy’s 2018 season. “He’s doing super right now”, says Miller. His latest work came on January 18 and was a five furlong blitz in 59 seconds flat which was the fastest of the day at that distance.
