Wise Dan still showing his spirit

When talking about great Thoroughbred runners, Wise Dan possessed as much bite as anybody on the track. Versatile and spirited, the Charlie LoPresti trained gelding always ran hungry, As a two-time Horse of the Year (2012 and 2013) and with 23 wins in 31 career starts, his appetite for the finish line was unequaled. With 17 wins and 2 seconds in his last 19 starts, Wise Dan ended his fabulous career at the top of the game. Now retired and recently honored at Churchill Downs with the renaming of the grade 2 Firecracker (which he won twice) with his namesake, the now nine-year old still has plenty of spirit as proven in his visit with another Dan.
