Bolt d’Oro was the beaten odds-on favorite in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile as he finished a distant third, but trainer Mick Ruis is already thinking about 2018. Versatile speed makes this son of Medaglia d’Oro one of the top contenders for the Kentucky Derby and Ruis feels his colt is better than he showed in the Cup at Del Mar. “We can’t wait to get started in his three-year old campaign,” says his conditioner.
